Each year, June is celebrated as the Pride month dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community. It began as a way to commemorate the Stonewall riots, which occurred at the end of June 1969 in the USA. However, over the years it has become a way and means to highlight the life, struggles, progress and everything that comes with being a part of the LQBTQ+ community. The month is not only celebrated by the LGBTQ community but also its allies who believe in equal rights should exist for people no matter their sexual identity and orientation. This is why, we are thrilled to be hosting our first-ever Pride Live Fest to celebrate the brave, free-spirited and amazing people who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community.
Social Ketchup and Local Samosa (from the house of Social Samosa Network) presents Pride LIVE Fest is an initiative to normalize the conversation around LGBTQIA+ community. We intend to celebrate the month of Pride by creating informative and engaging content in a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community to come together!
Scheduled on 26th June 2020, with the virtual fest we intend to bring the community together on one common forum to facilitate an exchange of thoughts and views in a safe space.
The Pride LIVE Fest is going to be an amalgamation of Inspiring Stories, Panel Discussions, AMAs, Virtual Gigs but most of all good vibes, love, and support!
Pride LIVE fest will cover topics such as ‘Role of films and web-content in normalising the conversation, Maintaining the ‘Pride’ at work, Bursting Myths about Gender Fluidity, Showing Pride through art and words, Drag Culture In India, Mental Health: From Coming-out to Conquering the world, Makeup tips and tricks, Love is Love, and lots more through panel discussions, Live performances and lots of inspiring stories.
