Interfaith Pride Fest

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Interfaith Pride Fest is a first-of-its-kind celebration in India, uniting queer voices and spiritual narratives in a single space. Taking place during Pride Month in the heart of Hyderabad, this event explores how faith, identity, and queerness intersect—not in conflict, but in conversation.

Through panels, performances, and personal stories, the Fest opens up space for LGBTQIA+ individuals who have long been told they must choose between their belief systems and their authentic selves. Here, we offer something radically different: a space to belong fully.

Whether it’s navigating coming out in religious communities, finding spiritual practices that affirm identity, or reimagining rituals to suit queer love—Interfaith Pride Fest holds space for all of it. This is a platform where faith is not a gatekeeper, but a door.

Why It Matter

In a country where religion often shapes culture, family, and law, queerness is frequently positioned as ‘outside’ of faith. This Fest challenges that narrative. We ask: Can queerness be sacred? Can spirituality be fluid? Can tradition make room for transformation?

From Islamic, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, atheist, and indigenous perspectives—this gathering acknowledges the real complexity of living both faithfully and freely.
